Perhaps now since The Arc Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Human Services have partnered to provide Housing Access Services for people with disabilities, that dream will become real.

What are Housing Access Services?

Housing Access Services helps eligible Minnesota adults with disabilities seek and locate suitable, affordable, accessible housing.

Who is eligible?

Adult Minnesotans of all ages who have been assessed and determined to be eligible for Minnesota Medicaid home care or waiver services and who want to move to homes of their own.

How can Housing Access Services help you?

• Advocates will accompany you when you look for housing.

• Help complete rental applications and lease agreements.

• Meet with you and landlords/property staff.

• Have knowledge of applications for publicly financed housing.

• Help develop household budgets

• Assist with finding affordable furnishings and related household matters
